Requirement
The requirements for each program are different due to the nature of the program and country/school requirements, please check the specific program page for details.
There is an age requirement on all programs.
Our students come from different countries around the world, mainly from
USA, Canada, and European countries. It is a great opportunity to make new
friends.

Cancellation
Notification of cancellation on the program is only accepted in writing, cancellation by telephone is not accepted. In the event of a cancellation, the applicant will be required to pay a cancellation charge. However, if we cancel the program, a full program fee refund will be given. Please refer to the following refund section for details. If the applicant fails to meet the payment deadline, we will
assume he/she has cancelled the participation in the program.

Refund
Applicant may cancel his/her participation in the program prior to the start of the program, however, he/she will be required to pay a cancellation charge. No fees will be refunded once the program starts. The cancellation fee will be deducted from the total amount paid. In cases where the amount received is not enough to cover the full amount of
the cancellation charge, applicants will be required to make up the difference. A full program fee refund will only be given if the program can not begin as scheduled. If an applicant paid the credit card processing surcharge on the program fee, it is non-refundable. If an applicant did not meet the payment deadline, we will
assume he/she has cancelled the participation in the program. The registration fee is non-refundable, the program fee/deposit is refundable by cancellation in writing received by us in the following dates:
Refund Schedule for Summer & Study Tour Programs:
More than 61 days before start date: 100% of total paid program fee less a USD 250 administration charge refunded;
60 days to 36 days before start date: 90% of total paid program fee less a USD 250 administration charge refunded;
35 days to 16 days before start date: 70% of total paid program fee less a USD 250 administration charge refunded;
15 days to 3 days before start date: 50% of total paid program fee less a USD 250 administration charge refunded;
2 days before to the start date: none of the program fee refunded.
Refund Schedule for Other Programs:
More than 61 days before start date: 100% of total paid program fee less a USD 150 administration charge refunded;
60 days to 36 days before start date: 100% credit toward future programs less a USD 150 administration fee or 90% of total paid program fee less a USD 150 administration charge refunded;
35 days to 16 days before start date: 90% credit toward future programs less a USD 150 administration fee or 70% of total paid program fee less a USD 150 administration charge refunded;
15 days to 3 days before start date: 70% credit toward future programs less a USD 150 administration fee or 50% of total paid program fee less a USD 150 administration charge refunded;
2 days before to the start date: none of the program fee refunded.

Homestay
Please understand and accept the following conditions below about
the host
family: The lifestyle and customs (toilet, bathroom etc) of each family will
vary in each household. Please follow what the other members of the family do.
Please make every effort to clearly communicate your thoughts and feelings. The
hosting school staffs are available to assist you if assistance is required. Please also keep
it mind that the Asian way of thinking, manners etc may be different from your
home country.
Please ask permission from your family and
our staff before inviting
your friends home or going out. Please make sure to give priority to your host
family's schedule. Please also take into consideration their schedules when
making requests of them. It is not considered acceptable to invite one's
boyfriend/girlfriend into one's bedroom.
Please keep
all valuables (traveler's checks, cash, watches, cameras etc) in a safe place.
Your personal items are your responsibility.
Every family has different meal times. Please follow your family's
schedule.

Placement
Student requests as listed on the application form and accommodation
questionnaire are taken into consideration, however it may not be possible to
grant all requests. We reserve the right to make any final decisions in regards
to student placement.
There may be a delay in sending the accommodation
placement to students due to late receipt of the application, changes in
arrangements, or sudden family cancellation etc.
Host family changes will not be
permitted based solely on an individual's request. It may occur that two
students or more stay in one family due to an application delay, last minute
host family cancellation or change etc. It may occur that a student is
placed to few different families due to an application delay, last minute host
family cancellation or change etc. Please be aware that your host family may be
changed in the event of a sudden accident, sickness, natural disaster, or due to
their financial situation etc. If this occurs, you may be placed temporarily in
a hotel or dormitory until a new placement can be made. In this case, we will
pay for any additional accommodation charges and transportation fees, if these
fees exceed your initial payment. Please note that the cost of meals and other
individual expenses will not be covered. Students will be required to stay in a
hotel for the evening in the event that they are unable to reach their
accommodation due to arriving on a flight after 6:00 PM (it maybe different for
a specific program, please check with us for details). Students will be
responsible for the cost of the hotel.

Complaint
Complaint handling procedure:
Should you wish to raise a complaint with LanguBridge Education Centre we encourage you to call us and we will do our best to resolve the matter. If you have been unable to have the matter resolved this way and wish to state your complaint in writing, we have a complaint handling process ensuring fairness to all parties.
To make a complaint, please provide your name, contact details and as much information regarding your complaint as possible. A complaint in writing may be sent to us by mail
or fax to the program director.
The complaint will be carefully investigated by the program director. The investigation will normally be completed in 14 days. If more time is needed to complete the investigation we will let you know and give you an estimate of when the investigation will be completed.

Changes
We reserve the right to make changes to the program (schedule, lessons,
activities, location, accommodation, etc) and will inform students of these
changes as soon as possible.

Privacy
Applicant information will be collected over online, mail, email, etc.
Information collected from applications will be used for the purpose of
evaluating applicant's enrolment in the programs and improving the performance
of the programs, some information maybe required by the hosting school for their
program enrolment requirement and visa application requirements. The information
will be shared by LanguBridge Education Centre and the hosting school where the
program will be hold. Limited information will also be given to the host family.
All of the information
provided to with us will be kept in a secure
place on the web with limited access or restricted physical location to protect
your privacy, it will not be given to other parties beyond the hosting school
and the host family
without the applicant's consent.
The staff at LanguBridge Education Centre who
has access to applicant information are educated with the privacy policies. The
program director is responsible for conducting periodic assessment of the firm's
compliance with the privacy principles.

Important information on credit card payment is processed by TD Canada which is one of the largest banks in Canada, it has good security capability in place.
